The Shadecrafters Club is the on-line extension of Maude's Lampshade Crafter's Handbook. Club membership gives you access to our private, ad-free discussion board, offering forums on various aspects of shadecrafting, lamp crafting and restoring, sewing, and lots of other topic, and the opportunity to ask questions and share your ideas with our 900+ members from all over the U.S., and around the world.
Although joining The Shadecrafters Club when purchasing the e-book is optional, you'll find it a valuable asset to this craft, and it's just $9.95 for a lifetime membership. At this time, only those who buy the book can join the club. |

Other benefits . . .
Although there's a list of supply sources that comes with the book, there's a much more extensive and ever-expanding list of suppliers (with links to their Web sites) on the club site, including sources for lampshade frames and rings, hardback and other shadecrafting supplies, new, reproduction, and vintage fabrics, trims, beaded and rayon fringe, embellishments and embellishment supplies (beads, buttons, feathers, etc.), and sources for instructions and supplies for various decorative techniques (including smocking, embroidery, silk painting and dyeing), sewing supplies, lamp parts, and more.
There's also a unique eBay shopping page with an additional 100+ targeted links. And you can make suggestions for sources that you'd like to have added, and ask for help finding supplies you're searching for. The site also offers downloadable supplements to the book (currently, how to make ruched and ruffled trims, and another method for making tassels), with more to come. Other club benefits include the right to re-download the e-book file, should something happens to your copy, or your computer, as well as $5.00 off additional book and club memberships you'd like to give as gifts.
